Roles, Responsibilities, and Daily Duties

Law Enforcement Ambassadors in the Garden Route area have different jobs than regular police officers. They focus on safety & working with the community. These jobs are temporary and help young people who need work to gain skills. The main things Law Enforcement Ambassadors do are:

– They walk around schools parks and public places to help keep these areas safe. They watch out for trouble and tell the real police if they see anything wrong.

– They talk to people in the community and teach them about safety. They also help explain rules about things like trash & street selling.

Β These workers help stop crime by working with schools and running safety programs. They also listen to what people say about crime in their areas and share this information with the city. It’s important to know that these workers are not real police officers. They can’t arrest people. The main goal is to give jobs to young people who need work while helping keep communities safe. What they do each day depends on what their local area needs. This program is part of a bigger project called the Expanded Public Works Programme which creates jobs for people who need them. The work helps them learn new skills they can use later.
